Five Myths about Hair Transplants

Seems like everywhere you turn there is someone spilling gossip about surgeries that will have you biting your nails about getting it done. In fact, many people decide to not have surgery, not get on a plane, and not eat certain foods because someone said it was bad, expensive, it would crash or it would end very badly. Here are some common myths that make a lot of people decide to turn away from hair transplants.

1. Painful

Hair transplants are uncomfortable, I will not lie. They are not meant to be the most comfortable feeling in the world, what surgery is? However, they are not mind-boggling painful and while you are getting them you will not feel any pain. Afterwards, Tylenol or Motrin will work to keep discomfort at bay.

2. Noticeable

Hair transplants have come a long way just like any other medical advancement which means that there accountability has come a long way as well. The doll hair once used is no longer used and natural hair has replaced it. It is a sophisticated natural look.

3. A Fallout

Your hair transplants become a part of you when you get them; they are permanent which means they are not coming out no matter how much you tug on them.

4. Expensive

When you think about how much money you have spent on shampoos, creams, sprays and gels. The cost does not really seem too expensive. A hair transplant can cost up to $16,000.

5. High Maintenance

It is true, you will have to go back for a few sessions after your initial one but that is about all the maintenance you will need. You can use your regular shampoo and brush/comb.

Hair transplants are not as evil as people spread rumors about and in fact can be a positive thing to look forward to, if baldness has been an issue for a long time.
